Vauxhall Corsa C Central Locking On The Boot
Hi, I have a 55 plate Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Twinport. Recently the central locking seems to have stopped working for the boot, meaning when I double press the lock or unlock button on the key fob, the driver and passenger doors unlock/lock, but the boot doesn't. I still have to unlock it the old fashioned way of actually putting the key in the lock and turning it. The day before I noticed this happening, my car wouldn't start so I disconnected the battery and put my battery charger on it to check if this was the problem. The battery turned out to be fine, like new, and the car eventually started just by pure luck I think, but I was wondering if by disconnecting, then re-connecting the battery, this might have something to do with the boot problem. I have tried syncing the keyfob again, but this didn't work, as I later found out that once a key is synced to a car, it won't do it again. I have also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery again.

Many years ago I had a Cavalier and one of the rear doors failed to operate on the central locking. I swapped the operators on the two rear doors, using the logic that if the fault moved the unit was faulty, if the fault stayed with the same door the connection was faulty. In the event the fault went away and the locking was still working perfectly when I scrapped the car 15 years later.
