Apple Id About To Expire.....

So, I get a random text today telling me this, I knew that Apple IDcant/doesnt "expire" but I did open the message as I was curious. Clicked on the link which sent you to a convincing (but NOT to me) page to type in your Apple ID which I DID NOT divulge. I just ignored it, however, I then went on to Google it and it seems a regular scam. But ALL the advice seems to be DONT OPEN THD TEXT. DONT CLICK ON THE LINK. both of which I did, but I didn't type in ANY of my details. What shall I do??? Worried now!

Clicking on the link can legitimise your email as a genuine address for spam and can have embedded nasties in them.
NEVER click on the link.
Having said that, it's not the end of the world. I guess your computer is virus protected so that'll help, but if you're worried download https://www.malwarebytes.com/

click the free version, it's all you need and run a scan. As Douglas Adams would say..."DON'T PANIC!"

Phone Apple anyway but my son informs me that Apple products are pretty well protected.

Thanks Ummm, I did think 'surely it can't be that easy to bypass Appke without even giving details'
But, I shall ring tmz. I've put a warning on FB AND Instagram to warn people

I think like Quiz says, you've confirmed your email address is active so you might start getting bombarded with spam.
