Hi all...I'm not that tech savvy and so have an issue with my Ipod nano. So I've had it 3 years...and opened an iTunes account on a laptop. Sporadically I'd buy songs through iTunes and upload them to ipod. The last few times I've done that it's deleted previous uploads with the effect I've lost half my music. They are still on the iTunes library on the account though. The memory in the device is not even half full. The other issue is now...my laptop is dead. And I can't even turn it on. Can I access my iTunes account from another computer. This cloud thing everyone is on about...I don't think I have a cloud. So Wat to do? Any insight be helpful...thanks

You can access your iTunes account from any computer that has iTunes installed by typing in your Apple ID (or email address). If you have an apple device you should have an iCloud account that will be the same email address as your Apple ID. If you purchase music through iTunes you will only pay for it once (even if you change or add devices). I have not used iTunes recently so I suspect if you are losing music it maybe something to do with settings!

Thank you sycamore!!
Sounds like you have somehow gone to a Custom sync in iTunes.
When you plug in the iPod and Open iTunes, make sure you are syncing Everything Automatically.

You iTunes library is only on your host computer unless you have set up iTunes Match and icloud, and then those are available over wifi, but your old Nano xan't do that.
When you get a new computer, you will be able to restore your purchases if you log into iTunes.
