I fear that we have to accept that times have changed for the worst.
Just as officers are told to turn a blind eye to many offences committed in front of them in large public order events. (Notting Hill carnival).
Arresting the man in public would probably of caused a riot and made a martyr of this firebrand.
The fact that he was Muslim plays a great part in why and how police these days are politically restrained due to racial considerations.
All wrong and that is what causes resentment when this is witnessed by non-muslims at the time of the disturbance.

I wouldn't be surprised if this officer ,who used discretion and common sense, will be attending a meeting (without coffee) in his Chief Superintendent's office for a mammoth rollocking.
Soon after Lee Rigby's murder all police officers were told to patrol in pairs as there was intelligence that a copy cat attack was highly likely on patrolling single officers.
This incident could have all the hallmarks of a 'come on' for a preparatory attack. Wind up the officer, goad him and kill him. In hindsight I dread to think what may have been in the pockets of this piece of filth's chums! :-(

I could not agree with you more but for the moment common sense prevailed under the circumstances. For the sake of my grand-children I hope those circumstances will revert to the way they used to be and we are not going to let alien cultures rule the streets of the UK. Hence my vote for Brexit. Examples such as this.

Interesting to see little comment from the resident supporters of such people on here.
The lone copper probably did the best thing. It must be pretty frightening, given recent events, to be confronted by scum like this whist also surrunded by more baying scum.
Thanks to Blair we have lost our country.
Will any country allow us refugee status once Sharia law is in place here I wonder?
