They are both fantastic. If Family Guy is still as funny after 300 episodes - as The Simpsons still is - then maybe you would have a point.

I just bought the DVD of family guy and nearly wet mesel with laughter.....more acerbic humour than the simpsons i still think they both have their place along with futurama but not knig of the hill....it be dross!

I agree with simon_says, The Simpsons has been consistantly funny for many years and still come up with great episodes. Also on the subject of Family Guy I cant belive that the voice of baby Stewie is not that of Rik Mayall they sound so similar.

I think that they both are BRILLIANT. They have different styles of comedy, both hilarious. Unfortunately damn Fox cancelled 'Family Guy' after the third series.

The simpsons isnt great any more if it was a comppitition for the simsons 3rd season vs family guy i think it would be a tie but frankly i think the simpsons suck now . simpsons is past their time and family guy is 1000 times better than the new simpsons episodes

I think they are both great, but noting over, nothing beside The Simpsons. I think the creators got some inspiration from Homer when they made the character Peter, don't you think?

Family Guy is clearly a winner. The Simpsons has been slipping. It's just reused material and it's not that funny anymore, it's just interesting to watch that's all.
