I have a B12 deficiency and I'm filling a form in for travel insurance. It says on the form 'In the last 12 months, has your haemoglobin level always been above 80 g/L (8g/dL)?' What does this mean please because I don't know?
It can cause neurological problems if left untreated for too long...pins and needles type things in hands and feet, disturbed vision, depression and confusion, memory problems. Many are reversible once diagnosed and treated but some aren't.
Have a look at the NHS site Naomi, it explains it better than I can.
Thanks ethandron. I will. Although very active, the lady I'm talking about is in quite poor health really - kidney, lung & spine problems. I just wondered if this would add significantly to her health issues. Thanks so much.
