Cut the wallpaper to size, paste the back, stick it on the wall, and smooth it down.

I reckon there must be videos on the Net for instruction.
Radiators are a pain for a first attempt at wallpapering. I think you need to decide whether you are happy papering around it or whether you want to lift it off the wall and so paper behind it properly. Is it covered with a shelf so folk can't see behind ?

Ooh quick answers!! I know - everyone is saying I'll never manage it with a radiator as a first attempt but that's made me more determined . And it's the only wall I can do tbh - all the others have doors and windows
I've done quite a lot of papering, the first piece you can line up with the ceiling edge but after that you'll have to cut the paper to match the pattern repeat. Leave a good 2 inches extra at top and bottom and invest in a good stanley knife to get clean cuts top and bottom. You'll also need a pasting brush and cloths to smooth out any bubbles. You can usually shift the paper about for good few minutes before the glue dries, I've just done a room and that paper was paste the wall rather than the paper which was considerably easier. the youtube suggestion is a good idea.
They're easy. You don't have to wallpaper behind the window. It'd block out the light.
I didn't realise that they still made paste the wall wallpaper, I used it many years ago and didn't like it, it seemed to stretch and was hard to get the bubbles out. If the paper has a pattern, spend a bit of time working out the repeat in relation to your ceiling height, it's sometimes more economical to cut from two rolls to minimise the waste.
Yes zebo I remember that and used a lot in the past, I think it was called Novamura and was a stretchy soft paper that was awkward. However what I just used was a normal Harlequin usual wallpaper feel and was surprised it said paste the wall.
I have always done the decorating in places we have lived then 18 months ago I moved into a house on my own. The house is less than 10 years old but the plastered walls were in a mess. So, I got some lightly textured wallpaper from good old Wilko's & got going. I started in my lounge then done the hall & finally the upstairs landing & stairwell (yikes!). The longest drop was almost 5 metres in length & a challenge to say the least. I am no teenager lol. I'm in my late 60's & female! I have made a great job of it even if I say so myself (friends couldn't believe what I had achieved). The first thing I would say is take your time, don't rush. If I can do it, you can. I have now applied matt emulsion to the walls & used paint pads which I found easier & cleaner to use than a roller or brushes. I didn't take any radiators off the walls but cut carefully around them, long enough to tuck behind so I can't see where the paper finishes. Good luck x

Thanks everyone !! Going to give it my best shot. If I could post photos on here I would show you but don't think we can do that can we??
only through a photo hosting service with a link to AB. You will do fine, have confidence & as I said a minute ago, take your time, don't rush! xx
Just bought a large t.v. Problem is i cant switch it off at the wall unless i move the tv cabinet and hold on to the tv. This is gonna get on my nerves. mate said leave it on standby all the time. (is this safe?) I dont want to put it wall mounted. Made up with the large screen, but just cant reach the plug to switch it off when im not home. Never considered this when buying it. Any advice? Thanks JPT xxxx
