How Much Would A Boarding Kennel Charge Per Week To Look After A Small Dog?

I ask because a neighbour who sometimes walks her dog with me in the evenings would be a better carer for my dog than my niece, who has already agreed to mind it, because she's out at work all day.
If I knew boarding kennel charges I could judge what to offer her.

Boarding kennels have overheads, wages, insurances and profits to cover.

If you provide the food and everything your dog needs in the neighbours home, and if the neighbour has offered rather than been asked, then I suggest a gift now, and again at Christmas rather than a payment.

I'll be asking her the next time I see her and I wouldn't mind paying. To ask her to mind a wee dog for a long time might seem a bit of an imposition otherwise.

Is your dog going to be going to her house, Sandy? Just make sure that her dog will happily let your dog in.

Walking together is quite different from allowing another dog into the house.

and just a point here Sandy - if/when your dog goes to stay, make sure you get another disc engraved with her contact details and notify you microchip company of the temporary change.
I've done fostering and pet caring and insist on this.
