can anybody tell me in plain English what mp3 tagging means and how do you do it ????

I believe its basically renaming the file to show the artist/title etc.worth googling "mp3 tagging" as theres literally 1,000's of programmes available to help do this.

mp3 files contain music data, and you can keep track of what it is by adding information on the artist, album name, etc. to the mp3 file.

most mp3 playing software allows you to edit the mp3 tags, for example in iTunes right-click a song and click 'get info'.

right.........thanks for that, but isn't that a posh version of right click then rename (and you then put in you own details ) of the track/song ???? but thanks , vinovin

when you right-click and rename, in a program like windows media player, and change the artist name etc., you are changing the mp3 tags.

right-clicking the file itself, in my computer for example, and you'll just change the name of the file, not the mp3 tags themselves.
