can we put all paper in the recyle box

Can we putr all our paper Ie paper bags, tissue, sugar bags, Brown paper bags ETC in the new fortnightly recyucle collection or is it only newspaper etc

I put all our junk mail, used envelopes and any other paper, and they don't seem to mind, no one from the council has told me off!! Someone told me that the only no no is shiny stuff like xmas wrapping or silver/gold paper/metallic cos it makes the recycling machine sick

We've found when things have been placed in our bag by mistake (it wasn't me!) that the recycling staff usually have a quick look through the bag before emptying it into the truck and anything not deemed as recycable goes back in your bag and put back on the kerb, kind of a polite notice that they won't accept it :o)

I think it varies from Council to Council. You aren't allowed to put envelopes in ours.

We're the same as CheekyChops - no envelopes (too much glue apparently) and also nothing with food on (so presumably no sugar bags) as these can contaminate a whole collection.

Yes we can put all stuff in recyle box. I also put my paper bags, tissue paper in my recyle box very easily.
