Am staying here instead of going to techie.

My sista is over 70 and loves her pay as you go - a real old one.

Her birthday is coming in September and I know nothing mobile phones cos I don't use them.

Anybody advise me a very basic one for her to learn. So she can't text but I am assuming it is easy now - as you type on the keyboard and the letter pops up. Wee bits and pieces. Wee uncomplicated apps.

So she google, and text. Must be Pay As You Go. Will be ever so grateful for any advice. JennyJoan from Gloccamara.

you know the little apps are on the front of them (see kids using) them - can she use the apps (without WIFI)

and what about those phones you talk/ask a question and you get an answer. Sorry for being so vague.

Do you mean Siri for Iphones and Cortana for Windows based phones?

That's it Boo - she does but I do think she could get the new one and sure if she didn't like it - go back to the old phone. She has the old phone many years now - real old fashioned etc. I know she would start to enjoy (with much trepidation) the tapping business and maybe since it looks (to me) easy to text she could learn to text. She keeps a credit of £100 on it and once the phone wouldn't work one time and it took them (powers that be) ages to work it - it sorta stopped cos she was wanting to put more on it. LOL

I found the older type phones with raised buttons easier to text from than my iphone.
