Free Download Software Recommendations/suggestions

Hoping someone has used something similar and can shortcut my search:
I wish to find a Windows 10 or compatible programme that allows me to draw lines easily, mark and value the angles and the lengths. A geometry programme I suppose, but I'm really wanting it to draw partial floor plans of a room.
I'm not keen of paying as it is probably a one-off use. And I really was hoping that the resultant file was easily opened and viewed anywhere, not needing the original creating programme. Although I guess, worst comes to worst I could printscreen and save as a picture file.
Anyone any good experiences of something of that nature they could suggest I look at ?
TIA.

http:// downloa d.cnet. com/Pla n-Maker /3000-1 8494_4- 7601626 4.html
(Fortunately it's shown as a 'Secure Download', rather than 'Installer Enabled', so you won't have to watch out for some of the rubbish which can come via Dowload.com's own installer).
I don't know which 'Save' options (for different file formats) that program comes with but, as long as there's a 'Print' option, that shouldn't be a problem anyway. One of the first utilities I add to any new computer is the free version of doPDF:
http:// www.dop df.com/
Once that's installed, you can save anything which is capable of being printed into PDF format, simply by going to File>Print and changing your (virtual) 'printer' to doPDF. It's a doddle.

Possibly a useful starting point:

Looked at the list there, found little in any of the descriptions to indicate that it was what was required. Eventually downloaded a mechanical drawing package which was complex and still didn't do what I wanted. Eventually I knocked something together in Paint. Not ideal, but I suppose it created a diagram with the info on it.
Thanks for your efforts.
