If I use the pin lock on my smart phone, is there much point in having ICE (in case of emergency) numbers in my contacts?

Perhaps I should go back to having an old fashioned piece of paper in my purse. ICE contact the OH!
Just below where I put my pin in it says emergency and that brings up the keypad.
But does it bring up your directory or other way to access the ICE numbers ?
Doesn't look like it. A bit daft really.
I have my ICE number on my lock screen
How do you do that, hc?
Question Author
As far as I know, emergency allows you to dial 999.

How do I create a lock screen hc? My phone's default state is the pin number request screen.
The lock screen is the screen you look at when the phone is locked. Some (all ?) handsets allow you to choose the picture so you create a picture with the number of the person you want the person with your phone, to pester, and use that.

Ah, thanks OG, I'll have a go at that and see if I can do it without either slipping on the ice or calling the cops!

I've figured it out. On iphones theres a health app. you can fill in as much or as little medical info as you wish into the app, including emergency numbers and have them appear behind the emergency tap on the lock screen.

Cool, Maydup, I didn't notice that there.

Just one of the many features on my phone that I didn't know about! Should, read the manual but who does?
