Next door neighbour wife had a little girl last week - I went to M&S today and went to pay for an baby outfit - it was £18 when I was paying she said it had gone down to £6. So I bought another outfit. This guy does my garden every cuppla weeks. It's not often I get a bargain.

That's a good bargain for M & S jj ...
I recently bought fancy kagool type coat on m&s, marked down from £28 to £17, which I was more than happy with. Charged me £15 at the till. Yay!

why do they not mark down on the actual item - coulda laughed at myself when I was buying second item I asked is this marked down?
I hope the baby outfit fits your gardener, but it's unlikely.
Bargain JJ, well done and a nice gesture too.x
that's nice Conne x
This is getting more and more common, we were in a GAP outlet in the US, OH was paying for some trousers and I noticed a rail of black jeans for about $7.50, bargain thought I, if only for gardening. The till charged about $5 and the jeans are a perfect fit, far too good for the garden!
One time in Next my SIL bought a top for £45. It wasn't until we got home she looked at the receipt and was actually charged 45p

Something similar happened to me but in reverse. Instead of being charged £45 I was charged £450

(^^not the real figures, I can't actually remember what is was.)

Didn't know until we received the bank statement. It was the local shop and they paid us back....
