Retrace her steps and contact those places to see if anything handed in - ask or ring local Police Station too.

Sorry! She's 85 and everything has gone so we've contacted the police etc but how can you calm them down?? All PIN number and everything was in bag and fortunately we cancelled all but she is still manic and panicking

Ah I see, well speak calmly and gently and reassure her these things happen, I don't think there is a magic solution to calm someone really.

Have you called the banks/Post Office? - get to her accounts as to security pins if she can't recall them.....but, even not, contact these financial organisations - better safe than sorry.

I've done all of that but she keeps thinking she's been scammed so I'm 150 miles away and it's really hard to find out who took it x

Does she have carers visit or any other regular visitor?
