The Dark!

It's amazing how quickly it is going dark lately. It just seems to happen all at once.
Depressing sign that summer will soon be over.

Yes, it does get dark early now. Sooner than you'd think. It has been a nice day, though, as O_G says.

I quite like it, though I know many people don't. To me it means the holiday season is nearing its end and I'll have less work to do.

Pitch dark at 2.30 pm in normal city areas. I quite liked it.

Caran, do you mean what's my job? I work in an amusement arcade in Somerset. It's long work in the summer but easy in the winter, so I don't mind the signs of summer ending.

Nor me. I can draw the curtains and shut out the world. Now that I am retired I don't mind dark mornings either.

I have never actually heard of anyone doing your job before.

I quite like it when the nights start to pull in. It means i can close my curtains, light my candles in the hearth and put my feet up. We have had another very warm summer yet again. Ours gardens are crying out for a nice drop of steady rain now. We havent had any for weeks. Bring it on!
