Ms Chakrabarti On The Andrew Marr Show
I see that Ms Chakrabarti appeared on the Andrew Marr Show this morning defending her report on anti-Semitism within the Labour Party.
In typical politician style, when asked the direct question as to whether she had been offered a Peerage before conducting her investigation – rather than answering ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, she stated that Mr Corbyn and herself are not corrupt; of course this still leaves the possibility that she was offered the Peerage before her investigation (she’s just not saying).
I prefer Private Eye’s take on the issue – with Mr Corbyn saying to Ms Chakrabarti in a speech bubble ‘I’d like you to clear the party of claims of anti-Semitism’ to which her speech bubble reads ‘I’d be honoured’.

I agree joining the Labour Party compromised the independence of the report. But it does not compromise the conclusion. She did not find widespread anti-semitism in the Labour Party because there isn't any. It is Labour's enemies and enemies within who are claiming there is. They could have provided Shami Chakrabarti with the evidence, but they didn't because there isn't any.

I can't see anything that this woman has done wrong.
Her honour was due to her work at Liberty and has nothing to do with her report into the perceived anti-antisemitism in the Labour Party.
She is a woman, clever, and comes from a British Asian background.....no wonder she scares the right-wing here in Britain.
