By a DI-- Head, Immigration Minister Robert Goodwill spending £2000.000 on a Wall to stop these disgusting people trying to get to the UK, why not electrify the existing Fence? or is it against these disgusting tribes rights, too much has been said / done to try and curb the actions of these people, treat violence with violence this is the only language these people know.

He has an ulterior motve for stating the blatantly obvious re Germany and France.
Meanwhile has Clinton said that she wants an open door immigration policy ?

Talbot....lets rescue these poor terrified kids and ask questions later.

And I don't just mean us. Until further notice, we are still part of the EU and, in any case, will always remain close allies of most of Europe. Our respective Leaders should be meeting TODAY, to find a way to help these kids.
[[we are still part of the EU]] can't argee with that bit, however as we never signed up to the Schengen agreement it's nowt to do with us.
Argue ^^ not agree, bloody predictive text
Motey....Its difficult for Britain not to be involved, as the occupants of the Jungle seem to want to come here......I know of no similar Jungle on the French-Swiss border, or the French-German, etc, etc.

But its the French who need to take the lead here....its happening of their soil after all.
Who's Detective Inspector Head ?
Excellent program on Radio Cambridge this morning. They had a lorry driver in the studio who drives through Calais every week and has done for over 10 years.
He says a wall is a useless waste of money as it would only cover the last mile into the port, which already has a 12 ft razor wire fence ! Illegals now start to try to board truck much further from Calais it is more like 5 miles away now that the problems start .They try to stop trucks by blocking the road so they can get on. He also said that other trucks had been boarded at service stations up to 35 miles away!
Lastly he said many drivers are now refusing to use Calais at all and going to other ports, this takes longer and costs more which is reflected in prices.
According to the Beeb News, 5 mins ago, work on the wall will start before the end of the month
You won't get much of a wall for £2000 :-)

They are putting up a wall to protect the road that passes the camp, I believe.
Mikey, they are in France why don't the French rescue them and why aren't the unaccompanied children letting France rescue them if France is willing to do so?

A perfectly reasonable question.

You need to do more research.
I don't see any compulsion for the UK to be involved. I want a million pounds. Does that mean it's difficult for the world's millionaires not to get involved chipping in for my million ?
