...my sensor is falling out but got a new one coming. But I still want one. I'm tempted to Micropore tape this one on until the new one comes - don't think it will last though. But so far I'm really impressed - it's made a difference already and it's only been 3 days.
Just thought you may have wanted to know how it was going :)
That's the one Mamya and yes Tony is the diabetes thing.
It's hanging in quite literally. I'm going to have to take it out at Bedtime I think :( gutted really.
Divebuddy - is a wee disc that sits on the arm and it comes with a glucose meter and you wave it over the top and it can tell you your sugar level and if it's stable rising dropping and how quick. It's amazing!
£100 a month is very expensive and they should be on NHS definitely - but I guess anyone is on receipt of DLA should pay for it as that is why you get DLA to help you to live with a disability.
At the moment it shows me I'm rising and then coming back down really quick - think peaks and troughs! But it can help prevent Hypos and running to high.
Just going to have to wait for my sensor to arrive and inform the hospital that it's out. It's lasted longer than some I have to say.
It's awful for Queenie not getting DLA as I know quite a few about the doors get it for diabetes particularly if giving themselves the needle. It would have been great for you to get this particular bit of equipment as it must be painful having to stab your thumb/finger so often a day.
