Dssagent is an error message that occurs in Microsoft Millennium Edition (ME) ' the error message will usually say: DSSAgent caused an invalid page fault in module unknown (Q296077), or something similar. This occurs if you have inadvertently installed dssagent.exe on your PC without realising it and it is running on your computer. According to Microsoft support (and you can get more information on this error and how to remove it from your PC at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
EN-US;q296077) you can remove dssagent.exe from your PC by disabling dssagent from your startup group. You do this in the following way 1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK. 2. In the System Configuration utility window, click the Startup tab. 3. Click to clear the DSSAgent check box, and then click OK, or press ENTER.
