Phew, looks like we've gotta postpone the apocalypse for the naysayers and doom mongers. They can urinate on their mattresses a little longer yet....

"Project Fear", such as it was, was probably based largely on the assumption that the Article 50 process would have started already. It did not -- so, indeed, apocalypse has been postponed until early next year. The extra few months of "wait-and-see" are welcome, but I don't think it takes a SGB remainer to point out that "there are no negative effects of something that hasn't happened yet" is not an endorsement either.

But all those doomsayers started of with apocalyptic predictions but have had to revise it to 'NOT YET. BUT JUST YOU WAIT TILL WE ACTUALLY DO LEAVE'
We can safely predict there will be an immediate dip because the bankers will make sure they get mileage out of it but when the storm has abated we will be back to life as usual.

Good point perhaps, cassa, although maybe that works both ways- the promises of the leave campaign to get control of our borders and stopping the payment of money to the EU of £350 million a week which could go to NHS, hasn't materialised either and is still some way from being close to a reality.
Maybe we should just wait and see what happens after something has happened. Let's hope we leave on the right terms and don't have to have another referendum or see it drag on for years

Correct. Project fear continues.
If Brexit does actually happen at some point (which I'm still not convinced of), it will then turn into project 'It's all your fault', whereby it will replace 'Thatcher' as the root cause of all bad things that happen from that point onwards.
