My fridge was turned up too high and most of the food in there froze. I have turned it down so it can defost; the salad etc is ruined of course, but I am worried about the chicken- uncooked. If it was fresh, then froze, then defrosted, is it safe to cook?
yes if it has only been frozen once it will be safe. Cook it now and don’t freeze it again. If it froze slowly, the texture may have changed so would be better in a stew or pie where it is cooked more slowly than say a stir fry.
