TWR - most animals are smarter than us in that way. My late hound never growled at anyone when we were wandering around the park in the dark. But one night he started growling at a man from quite a distance and didn't stop until the man passed us.

Mikey - alas cats and dogs don't get the vote in the US and, if they did, I don't think that they would vote for either of the current candidates.
