This is quite a hard question but Im sure someone out there can help me! I am due to have blood tests on monday, and I was just wondering if anyone knows what the following tests are for?: U&E, LFT, Bone Profile, CRP amylase and ESR. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! I've tried a google search but to no avail! Thanks

Urea and Electrolytes
Liver Function Test
C-Reactive Protein - see ESR
Amylase is test for pancreas
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (test for inflamation)

Some of these tests are multi purpose. Do yourself a favour and when you next see your doctor to learn the results... ask him/her. If they try to bamboozle you with medical jargon find another doctor.
