Stair Ideas

Can anyone recommend any nice, cheap and easy to execute ideas for my stair case. It's just one that goes straight up with a wall to one side and the hall way to the other. I am drawn towards a metal one, but i'm still undecided

i think the ide of "cheap" and "staircase" don't go together all that well

'nobs is right. Plenty of ideas, but they'll all be quite disruptive... and costly.

No problem with a steel staircase. Any local steel fabricator can easily make one up for you.

With staircases, "ready-made" ones very rarely fit. It would have to be made to measure.

Think about an "open string" one. Always looks a little more stylish than the standard closed string .........

arrrr, thanks builder, i was wondering why i couldn't find that much of a choice of steal stair cases online. I do like the open feel of the ones you've shown me, and that was why i decided to knock my existing stair case down (although i am regretting it a little now i've seen how much it is to replace it- maybe i should of looked into this before taking out the old one lol)
