Gosh how windy has it been this morning and maybe during the night here in East Midlands! Walked up the garden earlier and viewed a scene of destruction - climbing roses hanging down, broken from their "moorings" :) huge pot of begonias which is very heavy and standing on a decorative chair, tipped over on floor and plants etc on their sides. Looks like we had a small tornado ..... any one else experience this?
I'm hoping it dies down after sunset, I'm in work until 9 and hate cycling in the wind. That said, if it is still a bit gusty it'll be a tailwind home!
I went up to Edinburgh Fort this morning...what an experience that was. Car getting pushed by the wind couldn't see a thing. Did see 2 rainbows on the way though.
The high street is strewn with leaves, bits of branches and plants. Not to mention its blinking freezing!
Very, very wind in my neck of the woods. Washed and blow dried my hair this morning, it was looking lovely, went out in the wind and one gust blew all the hard work away - looked like a scarecrow !
Much too windy to sit in garden which was a great shame as lovely and sunny. So took books out in car and sat in countryside with sun streaming through window - beautiful views and sheltered from the wind.
