Screw With Hexagonal Indentation

My Mum had a key safe installed into masonary in her outside cupboard. The 4 screws that have been drilled into the wall have a hexagonal indentation in the middle. From google, I think they`re called socket cap screws. Are they easy to remove?

If I have it right, they are security Screws, you need a special driver to unscrew 237.

No, provided you have the correct drive to remove said screw. Not anymore difficult than an ordinary screw.

You might be lucky and find you have an 'Allen' key of the correct size

I have fitted many key safes for Social Security and I always threw away the fixings that came with them. The fixings I often used had a Torx type head on them. Anyone who fits them on a regular bssis will have a selection of alternative fixings for various types of bricks and blocks. Hexagonal suggests an torx or allen key would remove it.
Without a picture of your fixings, it is all guesswork.

The Supra is the best key safe money can buy ... over the years they have changed the fixing methods. The modern one is fitted with screws that just screw into the brickwork with a pilot hole ... no plugs required.
The original expanding bolt could be undone with an 8mmm socket. Sounds like you have an alternative fixing.

Most people who want them removed dont know the access code and I am afraid I always wrecked them when removing them without the code. You obviously have the code otherwise you couldn't see the fixings !
The Supra wil last forever and could save you a small fortune if you refit it for your own use. If you lost your keys and had to call a locksmiith to get back into your house. A key in your keysafe will allow you to gain access to your property. Otherwise you wil get approx £20 for it on ebay.
