Just from reading about the greenies and people being a bit wary, would it be possible for all the people who e-mail you requesting a new ID to go as blue, just to let people know that they are not "new". I think that way people will be more trusting to reply to threads.

BEZ some colours don't show up very well and green sometimes appears as grey to some but not sure about blue, maybe the new name could be underlined perhaps?
now I'm feeling a bit jaded today but that sounds like a good idea to me BEZ....if it was possible a different colour, underlining as TCL suggested or something next to the name that signifies they've 'been here before'.
I think folk changing their ID should have to complete a 100-page questionnaire, supply five references, write a tie-breaker slogan of no more than 15 words saying why it should be allowed and bake a chocolate cake.

.....and clean out the elephants..... :o)

i don't get why people are so concerned to know if someone has changed their name etc - what does it matter? if the question appears to be genuine then surely thats enough, just answer the questions you want to and ignore the ones you dont want to all the silliness of trying to second guess new users seems futile because even if you correctly guess that someone used to be one of the others where does that get you, you still only have another user name to apply to them so what difference does it make.
