Toshiba Remote Controll

Hi my toshiba DR20kb remote control for my dvd recorder has broken, will a universal remote work for it if so what do I buy or should I get a replacement brand remote ?thanks

'Universal' remote control handsets can be a real pain-in-the-posterior to set up correctly. A dedicated unit makes things far easier!

I tried a few universal ones for mine (ones I had to replace my sky remotes over the years) and couldn't get them to work.

In the end I got a compatible replacement - slight different layout than a genuine, but a lot cheaper. Offhand cant remember where I got it but its called something like RM series.
