I'm sure you'll have got yours tuned in by now but if anyone else finds this post the same way I did (and was frustrated by the lack of an answer!) I'll post the result of an hour's googling and blind button pressing!

1) Go to the channel you want to tune in
2) Press the 2 red arrow buttons at the bottom left of the remote simultaneously(one points upwards the other points to the right into a diamond)
3) This will bring up the tuning screen
4) Hold down the red up arrow and then press the up or down button to the left of the volume control. This will start the autotuner. (you don't need to hold the buttons down whilst it tunes/seeks)
5)When you have found a frequency you are happy with press the 2 red arrow buttons together again to store the tuning.

A year late but hopefully others with these venerable old sony's will now get an answer when they look!

A year later and I have the same problem! Some concerted late night button pushing has, however, yielded results:

You need the remote control:

1. Select channel to retune
2. Push red arrow and red square simultaneously
3. Push red arrow and up/down buttons diagonally above to tune
4. Push red arrow and whilst holding push red square to store

Can't work out how to fine tune though....!
