In the song There's a warm wind blowing the stars about and I'd really love to see you to night ..Okay romantic but If it was a warm night would you see the stars as you mostly only see the stars when it freezing .
That's not true, you see stars when there are no clouds around which could be in the middle of August or the Sahara come to that. I think you're associating it with freezing because in the winter it's rarely freezing when it's cloudy as they act like a blanket.
and yes you see more when there are no clouds and it is cloudier
and yes it can be freezing in the desert at night ( no cloud cover )
but think
Mistral - no deserts but a warm wind at night and
Khamsin (50) both a desert and a warm wind which blows for 50 days !
