Thank you Elina and Tilly.

There was a lot of funny moments Ummmm...my two favourite ones were when she asked who 'Fibreglass' was after Barcelona signed Cesc Fabregas. Both mum and I were helpless.

Then there was the time she declared to everyone that she had picked asparagus with the Hairy Bikers.

Ahh, sorry to hear that, qom. Sad news.
remember those good moments, Queenie, even if they came with her dementia....you aren't laughing at her but her condition.....xx
I'm sorry to hear that, queen. May your gran RIP.
Sorry to hear about your gran, QoM.

My mum had a few funny moments. She didn't have dementia, but brain cancer caused similar problems.

One day she told me that Carol Vorderman had served her breakfast. She was most insistent. I had to go along with it.
Just heard your sad news Queenie, you are having a really bad year and I feel so much for you. Although it's hard it must be comforting to know your Mum and Gran are now reunited. Stay strong Q ..... sending you love and hugs and remembering you in my prayers xx
so sorry to hear this,I still miss mine, all best wishes
Sorry to hear. At least she won't be confused any longer. May there be some comfort in that for you.

Thank you kindly to everyone for their messages and stories.

It has helped a lot and with you all behind me I shall strive forward.

Ann - it has indeed but they say bad things come in threes - mum passed, grans younger sister passed away and now Gran. So I'm ever hopeful that there will be no more and that any news now will be good news xx
Yes you've had enough bad times Queenie, I have to say I know a few young people your age who would have loved to have had their grannie around .
both my grans died when I was 4,,still with me
Question Author
I'd love for them still to be here too. So much I still wanted to share with them.

My granny passed away when I was 3 they day after my third birthday. I at least am very greatful to have still have had my gran for a little longer. Each grandparent I've had except my grandad has seen me grow up through various stages.
Will this sad news affect your sugars ?
Question Author
It might. But I'm hoping not but I'm ready for it if it is. I have plans that I REFUSE to screw up so whatever is likely to happen I'm going to tackle head on Anne - I won't be beaten
Good girl :-) x
