I`m -6 short sighted and have become long sighted. I am trialling some monthly lenses whereby one is for long sight and the other is for short sight. I don`t like them but someone told me that you have to persevere. Has anyone tried this and how long did it take for your brain to learn to live with them?

I tried varifocal contacts but I still couldn`t read anything so this is the only other option. Apparently, the brain gets used to using one eye for distance and the other eye for close up but I want to know how long it takes.
I use one eye for long distance and one for short distance and most of the time it is okay. But I have been like this for decades.
I was under the impression that your brain did all the work in this situation.
I got up early to go to my voluntary job which starts at one. I was full of great plans but it is now nearly ten to and I am still here. Such is life !
