I read in the paper that they are NOT doing any more of Goodnight Sweetheart, only one they are doing more of is Porridge? anyone else disappointed?

no not at all. I liked the original until I realised it was a comedy about a man being unfaithful to his wife and then it didn’t seem funny any more

I thought it was really good and all the original cast aswell, shame on them for not doing another series

I saw a bit of the Porridge episode. I thought it was rubbish without the great Ronnie Barker. I don't know why they're bothering. Write some new things.

I think Goodnight, Sweetheart had run its course. What more is there to do in that?

Yes I'm disappointed. I thought they'd listen to the public and bring it back.

there is more mileage left, especially as there are the kids now in each era, they might take after dad and go back and forth from each era

Maybe the cast didn't want to commit to a new series.

Ultimately it's the writers you need to convince. Perhaps they feel they have no creativity for the series any more and don't wish to create a sub-standard series to spoil the full set.
