the song starts off with a bass riff and it sounds like its sung by the offspring but it's not them, i think. it's quite an old song it was out in 1998 or before. any ideas?

what would be ideal is if someone knew the song they used to play regularly in the the ritz on a monday night.

Is it grunge sounding or new punk ?

Grunge - Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc

New Punk - Offspring, AFI, NOFX

I'm only curious because you've said it sounds like the Offspring yet they're new punk not grunge.

bassy riff could be lithium - Nirvana.
