Do I Really Want The Job ?

I was listening to the Today programme this morning - one of the guest was - Christopher Ruddy ( a friend of trump - Christopher Ruddy is the CEO of Newsmax Media which publishes Newsmax.com and broadcasts the Newsmax TV network.)

He states that Trump is the accidental candidate who had no intention of getting the Republican Nominee and that Trump told him 3 times in the past year that he Trump was , shocked and surprised at the nomination .

Now , putting aside for a moment, what Trump's so far has uttered and any allegations against him - here is a question .

Is it right that he should have continued with his quest to lead the most powerful nation in the world , when it would appear that his heart is not really in the potential job ?

Or is it the case that the train has gathered momentum and is speeding down the track , with little chance of Trump getting off

He probably did want to be president, but now it looks like he isn't going to be, he's crying foul.

I suspect, once the train has ditched him in the sidings on Nov 9, that he'll complain about vote rigging for a week or two and then claim he never wanted the job anyway. All those politicians ... yugh ..

I also predicted that once he loses he will refuse to accept it , claim the election was rigged and demand a refund.

I heard last night on the radio that Trump is making noises (oh grow up!!!) about buying a TV station, or acquiring a media outlet to take advantage of his large media presence.

Although, I suspect Trump will be a like the X-Factor winner - when you are on everyone's TV's, everyone is interested in you, when you disappear from TV, interest stops almost immediately.

I've heard this before and it sounds plausible: he wanted to raise his profile in the hopes of getting paid more for The Apprentice (this has majorly backfired). He never had real plans to win office, or for what to do if he got there. But having got this far he's unlikely to give up: he doesn't see to think much of losers and quitters.

I don't know what happens if he does lose, though. Billy Bush has been fired by his network, so they're unlikely to want to touch Trump with a bargepole. Nor will he be wanting to hang round Washington; I think his heart is in New York. Back to the property sector, I suppose.

jno - Christopher Ruddy, did mention something, about the apprentice .

He was saying that basically Trump , only put his name forward to get some publicity .
Every four years since the 1980's his name has been hinted at , following which he has benefited from a rise in his profile .

It would be truly sad if he does become President and in his heart is not really in the job ( That bit we might never know )
