Thursday. All calm outside, but a wee bit nippy.

I'm off for the weekend today, I'll be taking my wee kindle with me to keep in touch with what's going on. A fir bit to do this morning though. So I shall be off about eight.

When we had that bad snow a couple of years ago we got some terrible potholes here just outside London and some of them still haven't been filled in!

That sounds about right smow. They won't do anything until someone is killed or seriously injured.

snowball.. this is what I'm saying, there is no money for repairs. If someone has been told to go to accident place and take photos and measurements of potholes then you can bet there will be a repair team there in a flash. maybe someone has even burst a tyre and making a claim.

Well my FILwas driving in his very lovely new Mercedes and hit one with front tyre- blew it right out!

Our money the government throws away to Europe and foreign aid would be better used in this country. So many things could put it to good use.

Susan...they do go out that early. Most road repairs are done by contractors, not the council.

If the council are doing repairs it's usually a temp fix until the contractors can do it properly.
