Do You Remember This Air Freshener??????
27 Answers
When I was a young girl, mum bought these air fresheners that were round, had a hole in the middle (like a large polo mint) and they came in a variety of colours like pink, white, green etc.
Once unwrapped and exposed to the air, they used to melt away to nothing leaving a lovely smell in the air. Mum used hers in the toilet and bedroom.
They were about during the 60's and 70's. I have not seen them about.
Do you remember them if you are of a certain age???

Here is the original from the 1960s, remember them? You unscrewed the lid and pulled out the 'wick' to mask the 'nasty niffs'

They were called Air Wick because that is what they were. The bottle was full of fluid with the odour masking smell, there was a wick inside the bottle. When you pulled out the wick the fluid would evaporate and the smell of the fluid masked the 'pong'. The worse the 'pong' the more wick you pulled out.
After my Dad had visited the Loo the wick was all the way out!!
