Pardoning Gay People- Scottish Government
7 Answers
With so many problems in Scotland that the SNP are not dealing with perhaps this is a bit of a waste of time.
I am not being homophobic here by saying this but I feel that their time and money could be better spent.
What do other abs think ?

Some are in favour of pardons, some are not.
I am in the latter camp - I don't believe that you can expunge a conviction just because it was issued under a bad law.
Laws are made to reflect the attitudes of society at the time - and retrospectively deciding they are wrong should not mean that people convicted of them are suddenly 'un-convicted'.
It makes a mockery of the justice system to airbrush aspects of society we are now uncomfortable about.

could you list the "so many problems" that are not being dealt with, so that "abs" know and can compare and come to a conclusion?
I think the SNP are doing quite fine and dandy so far and the fact that they did pretty well at the Scottish elections a couple of months back maybe proves that is the opinion of Scots as well
