We made out own way Oz, went to the City, Opera House, the Coat Hanger, a lovely City from the Tourist point of view but I gather it has it's problems.
It is a beautiful City Twr and yep, it has it's problems these days.
Personally hate cities, give me bush, wide open spaces, small populations, un-congested roads any day.
Grew up in the northern area of Sydney, lived in and about for 40 years. Great while you're young and love nightlife, never get me living back there now.
I'm from a City Oz a place called Bangor a university City, was not that big, I used to do a lot of Walking, tree Climbing as a lad, we now live in Lancashire, Google Clitheroe, it has a lot of history especially with witches.
Blarney is not far from Cork. The famous Blarney stone. It's where the saying 'to bendv over backwards' comes from. You have to bend over backwards to kiss the stone. It's right ast the top of the castle tower.
Looks like a wonderful place, not too big and lots of history.
I live in a town with a population that varies between 700 and 750, depending on the season. It's a 100 km drive (about an hour) to the next place with anything to offer except a farm gate with a 5 km driveway hidden behind it.
Love it!!!!
I was watching the OZ Foreign minister on this morning talking about a Chinese takeover of a Power plant of sorts in Oz, Oz has refused due to security etc, they done right, it's a pity the UK don't take this stance, we own feck all here now, it won't belong before they sell the Queen off they've sold everything else here.
