New Gizmo.

Daughters birthday today, she got a gizmo from husband. Can't remember it's name but I think the word bit appears in it. It's round, about 2-3" across and you ask it questions. She asked about the weather, it gave local area, she asked who was William Shakespeare, it gave a potted history, she asked it to play a certain record, it did. She says you can ask it to order things for you on Amazon. Where is technology going to end?

I'm still confused by 10-year-old technology. I bought a 'new' car (2006 model) last Friday and then had to fork out twenty quid on eBay, to buy a handbook for it, so that I could find out how to set the clock!

Actually, Pasta, it seems that you're already behind with technology. The Amazon Echo is now 'old hat'; the new 'Echo Dot' was released last month. (It's a bit like trying to keep up with mobile phones. As soon as you've bought an iPhone 10 you realise that your best mate has the iPhone 29!)
