and sell only to approved organised displays. I thought I'd try to get a few signatures after reading yet another sad story, this time of a horse dead because of thoughtless people and fireworks.

I feel very strongly about it as well woof. When I lived in the country I remember looking out of my bedroom window when I heard a commotion in the field opposite my cottage after some bangers had been let off. The poor cows were racing around the field absolutely terrified. I could see the whites of their eyes in the moonlight. Same with some poor tethered goats, petrified. It was some weekend townies, not locals who were having a house party who thought it was a good idea to let bangers off at midnight in the countryside.

Tut tut, Divebuddy. My complaint about the petition is its modest scope. Shouldn't we be banning ALL fireworks/

"Sign this because I'm a nice guy AND need to prove it" is an AB self-pleasuring pursuit. Traditionally done in private, but obviously enjoyed by some as a group activity.
