A careless mistake by another team member cost them victory at the end of their first round match.

SOAS probably have the edge tonight though.

I didn't know he'd died - awful. The effect on the rest of the team must be felt. SOAS ran away with it. The 'Oriental Studies' campus at Durham is huge and they've invested heavily in it. (Eldest sprog. read chemistry there - and no, Mikey, she did 6th form at local comp. not posh; she did go to a decent prep. which taught her solid attitudes to learning and basic knowledge.)

After a promising start Durham never looked like getting on terms.Full marks to the SOAS captain and on this form they could well reign supreme despite losing a key member. They wouldn't be the first team to win the competition having lost their opener.
