All the children I know who are old enough to use a phone have smart phones so that they can use it as a learning tool via apps, download story books, take pictures, videos, basically expand and help them as they expand and grow, also the parents can use gps to track where they are at all times and use an app to remotely wipe and lock the phone in case it's lost or stolen

Technology and the children's brains are moving forward so why with this wealth of learning and safety go backwards?

Also getting them a stone aged phone when all the other kids have the latest tech will surely get them laughed at and possibly bullied which we obviously do not want to facilitate ( Shallow I know but this is how children would react )

well I knew that I would get an answer like this. Mother and Father are adamant - no - they are not getting one - so I will leave this alone.

I myself do worry about youngsters having these wonderful concoctions where they enter this sordid world of porn, just bad things generally.

I know parents can "block" them but these laddies know how to unblock them - they are wizard kids. I do despair of them. And the fact they are glued their eyes every time definitely will not go their eye sight any good.

The children I work with are 'delightful'. They are six and seven year olds and they are a source of joy. I love my time with them.

I have a 'Smartphone' but some sites come up as 'Adult Content Site Blocked' and you need to contact the network supplier to have the block removed if you are over 18 and want to view such sites.
