Should She Be Fired?

What a stupid woman, does she realise she will probably impact the hospital far more than Brexit ever could.
And then go onto a tool of Behalzibub to boast about it, I ask you what possed her?

Returning to the OP - I think the lady got carried away with the passion of her view, and expressed herself badly.
She should not be sacked for speaking as a private individual.
I think it would be very wrong for anyone to withhold funding donations from the hospital, that does not punish the woman, but it does punish innocent suffering patients, and that cannot be right.

It was a nasty comment from someone who works in children's health and she could well have brought her department/hospital into disrepute. Therefore possibly a disciplinary matter. A note on her file to that effect is the least she should expect.
Like a lot or remainers she is expecting funding to suddenly and inexplicably stop on Bretix. She seems to be oblivious to the fact it is in everyone's interest to continue research (in all fields). All it means is the people looking for funding have to work a bit harder rather than just going to the EU with their hands out. Once they get the hang of it they will probably see no real difference. It will just be. A learning curve they don't think they should have to start.
Project fear is good at touching the fuse paper with a bit of information then standing back to watch the fireworks of the little people taking up their cause. Job done for them and the little people don't realise they have been played for fools.

science and scientists have been sharing ideas and research across national and political boundaries since long before the EU was even thought of, never mind sprang into existence. why would the UK cease to participate just because we're no longer a member of a particular regional club? it's not an EU initiative, nor is it dependent on the EU administering it, and there are many countries (such as the US and Australia) that have never been members.
jackdaw, I have to take issue with the vehemence of your reaction to this incident.
Put in perspective, she was a private citizen offering a person viewpoint.
She worded her point badly, has acknowledged that and apologised - twice - so I hardly think she merits the level of vitriol you have poured down on her head - 'the Myra Hindley of caring'?
Really?
