Hi, can anyone advise me as to where the fuel filter on a 1990 2.9 inj auto ford scorpio is located and if it is easy to change

Hi,

I used to have one of those, nice car.

The fuel filter is alongside the fuel tank on the left.

To change it I gently clamped both the rubber fuel pipes each side of the filter with mole grips, can be awkward to undo each banjo union if they are tight, beware of dripping petrol then undo the clamp which holds the filter.

to do this job correctly refer to your handbook and you will see that the fuel system has to be depressurised,this is done by venting a bolt on your efi located on side of engine,to do otherwise is dangerous as any escaping fuel at filter will come out as a mist which is highly volatile, be careful and always do it outside
