Im Looking For A Bright Idea, Magnetic Curtain Strip Curtain But Not A Mesh
59 Answers
Now that the weather is getting wetter and colder, I want to keep the conservatory door open but closed.
I want the hounds to have access out into the garden but for the access to close behind them to keep warmth in and rain out, this is a heated conservatory full of cactus plants, so need to be able to prevent them freezing.
Also I cant have a conventional dog flap due to the size of the hounds.
I was looking for a magnetic strip curtain but these only appear to be available in net form.
Any ideas?

However they aren't suitable as not heavy enough.

This system seems to be quite popular in America, it's a panel that the sliding door butts to. Unfortunately the cost is prohibitive but perhaps something in wood could be made, with a bigger lower panel for the wolf hounds.

trt "How many times do the hounds go for a pee in the evening?"
I didnt say anything about them going for a pee, I want them to have access to the garden, we have a large garden and I want them to be able access it 24/7. They get taken out and exercised regularly (twice a day) this is purely for recreational purposes.

hi rater i wonder if a solution might be an outside kennel block? The problem with them having access 24/7 is that it means people have access to your house 24/7 I appreciate any burglars my be put off by dogs taller than them though!
ot if you relly don't mind the cold, what about a seperate enclosure for your cactus?

bedknobs, shock horror!! Put my bebies in kennels!! How very dare you!!! Whatever next!!
If we go out, The hounds are locked in the house, purely so they don't get stolen, big market for stolen valuable dogs!
I also have too many cacti to house elsewhere. I think I can sort the door issue out without such drastic steps.
