fleas again

hey guys, i went to the vets today to get some flea stuff. they gave me Stronghold for my cat, and a can of Acclaim for the house. Has anyone ever tried any of these products? Are they any good?

Hi Immi666, I have had Stronghold off the vets for my cats in the past and it worked, but I always go for Frontline which I think is an excellent product. I've never used any house spray from the vets I use "ZODIAC" its excellent it not only kills the flea,s but the larva and eggs too, you can buy it from Pets At Home and Iv'e seen it in Focus. :-)

thanks cat woman. frontline costs a lot more. to be honest, the cat isnt the problem so much as the house. even the vet said she wasnt as riddled as i thought.

if this acclaim stuff doesnt work i'll try that zodiac. It's really getting me down. Comtemplated burning my damn house down.

Acclaim will kill everything in its power!

Be prepared to find woodlice etc coming out of the woodwork and curling up in the middle of the room!

Its very strong so make sure you spray a couple of rooms at a time and then keep the doors closed until the smell has subsided. Also make sure you spray in all your nooks and crannies!

I've used acclaim 2000 its really good never used strong hold though :-)

I heard that if you put some tea tree with water in a spray bottle that it works well, not sure of the quantities tho

Acclaim doesn't take long to work once you spay it I think I should start killing the little blighters within about 10 mins and it lasts or up to a year! very good stuff
