Overcast here, but it's not raining. That's probably waiting for me to go out. The delights of Stroud today. i might have a look in the museaum if I have time. It's in a beautiful setting, worth a visit just for that.

Stop at the farm for some ptoatoes on the way back, see what veg is in while I'm at it.

I'm fine thanks Minty. Exercise class and physio seem to be having an effect and am walking better. Glad that you are feeling better but as Boaty says don't overdo it.

Going back to halogen cookers, my dad always has something bubbling away in his. He thinks it's great.

The car is brilliant, wish that I had gone automatic years ago. It's even got a reversing camera so no excuse to reverse into walls.

Sounds good WT. I wouldn't go back to a manual now.

I love an auto. It's the only type of car I can drive. I took my test twice in a manual and never felt comfortable. As soon as I started on an auto, I felt 'yep, I'm ok, now'.

Modern automatics are brilliant. The gearbox is now electronic, the old ones tended to change gear when you didn't want to, so sometimes you still had to change gear by hand.
