Are the Corrie residents really just sitting back waiting for those flats to be built? If it were me buying off plan I would be passing the site every few days or so to be checking on progress.

I would be doing that out of impatience and I'm just plain nosey. So if I thought something was up I'd be round there like a shot,

It can't be that far away, surely someone must have driven passed there.

silliemillie it isn't real you know lol x
yeah, I would be the same. I would at least be asking regularly about the progress/lack of progress. Not realistic at all
mallyh
actually your wrong, the street is real (built at Salford keys) but the flats are not its a scam,

I do try to remember it's not real and they have a certain 'license' but still can't stop myself shouting "just go round there!!" LOL!
I think Michael is going to do that very soon.....
I don't think they have ever said where the 'building' site is. Surely nobody is that gullible
As someone who thought that the Red Rec was actually a pub or whatever called The Red Wreck until I saw it in print, I feel my views aren't worth listing. :)
Spoiler alert....don't read next weeks tv mags!!!!! It all hits the fan!
Eileen twigs tonight that something is very wrong.
About time...Come on Eileen ;-)

Margo - thought they said it was in 'Calcutter Street' (or similar). No one would buy a flat not knowing where it's situated.
I wanted Michael to sneak into Eileens and take Phelan's passport to stop him going to Mexico!
Since the start, I've thought this storyline was ridiculous. Not only would anyone be able to see that there is no building work going on at 'the flats', but someone handing over £15,000 as a deposit would surely do so through a solicitor, who would be obliged to check that Phelan and Vinny actually owned the building that was supposed to be converted. Oh, and Eileen spent thousands of pounds on tiles, even though no work had started!
Agree with all the points raised, it's a totally ridiculous story-line.
Corrie's on tonight folks - don't forget !
where did Sarah get her deposit from ( i missed that bit) and how is she going to afford a mortgage, she only works a few shifts in a pub
Her Uncle bought out her share of the business in, was it Milan, where she used to live .....
